Blennophobia: The Fear of Slime

Blennophobia is the persistent and irrational fear of slime.  Certain aspects of cleaning are off limits to those who suffer from this phobia.  Slimy things are unpleasant to most people, but for those with this phobia slime not only makes them nauseous, but it also causes them to feel extreme anxiety.

Acousticophobia: The Fear of Noise

Acousticophobia is the persistent and irrational fear of noise.  It’s funny my best friend and I were talking about something similar to this just last night. She was making fun of me because I jump every time the phone rings or toast pops out of the toaster. Those who have this phobia startle very easy with loud noises.  A simple noise can cause extreme anxiety.

Geniophobia: The Fear of Chins

Overcoming Fear, Worry, and Anxiety: Becoming a Woman of Faith and ConfidenceGeniophobia is the irrational and persistent fear of chins. It is considered a funny phobia, which I don’t agree with.  While it is slightly more abnormal than other phobias, no phobia is a laughing matter for the person who suffers from it.

This phobia is usually triggered by behavioral disorders or dysfunctional personality traits, but something as simple as someone having a dirty chin can also trigger Geniophobia.
