Leukophobia: The Fear of the Color White

Leukophobia is the abnormal and persistent fear of the color white.  Those who suffer from Leukophobia may fear anything that is white including houses, shoes, clothes or even people.

A phobia is a strong, persistent fear of situations, objects, activities or persons.  The main symptom is an excessive and unreasonable desire to avoid the feared subject. Other phobia symptoms include shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea, and an overall feeling of dread.  Phobias are the most common form of anxiety disorders.

It's hard not to face your fear when you're afraid of the color white.  White is everywhere in this world and if your fear includes people then it can become impossible to avoid your fear.

Do you suffer from Leukophobia?  If you do, please share your story.  How does it affect your life and how do you cope with it?
