Stretchophobia is the abnormal and persistent fear of yoga.
Sometime around 2013, this phobia was recognized as a legitimate phobia. Yoga has become insanely popular in the last
few years and while many people love, there are those who fear it. I don’t know what could cause this fear, but
I’d really like to know.
A phobia is a strong, persistent fear of situations,
objects, activities or persons. The main symptom is an excessive and
unreasonable desire to avoid the feared subject. Other phobia symptoms include
shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea, and an overall
feeling of dread. Phobias are the most common form of anxiety disorders.
