Phobias and the Holidays

How to eliminate stress and anxiety from your lifeThe holidays can be hard on someone who suffers from phobias.  I’m very well aware my fear of fire especially at Christmas time.  I love Christmas so I make sure I have my Christmas tree up and lights on my house, but the downside is that I am a nervous wreck the whole time they’re plugged in.  Every year there are tons of news stories about houses catching on fire because of Christmas lights and it totally freaks me out.
So what phobias are worse for you during the holidays?  More importantly how do you cope with your phobias during the holidays?  Please share your stories because it’s so important that we all know that we’re not alone.
