Panophobia is the irrational and extreme fear of everything. Those who suffer from this phobia fear absolutely everything.

People have been explained as going into raging fits when they are around wine.  Red wine seems to be more of a trigger than other types of wine.

Clouds aren't usually scary unless they predict a bad storm or if you have Nephophobia. Nephophobia is the abnormal and persistent fear clouds. Most who have Nephophobia also have Tonitrophobia, the fear of thunder and lightning.  When they see the cumulus clouds developing they know what lies ahead.

Nelophobia: The Fear of Glass

Fear of MirrorsNelophobia is the extreme and irrational fear of glass. Glass is all around us everywhere we go.  Windows, mirrors, picture frames and the list goes on and on.  So how can you live your life normally if you have Nelophobia?  All phobias have a negative impact on lives and this one is no different.  


I have Coulrophobia- The fear clowns, and I can easily limit my exposure to them.  I don’t see how you can easily limit exposure to glass.  Think for a moment what it would take to rid your home of glass.  That would take some serious work wouldn’t it?

Melophobia is the abnormal and irrational fear of Music.  This phobia is possibly linked to an extreme hatred of music that then leads to a fear.

Lockiophobia: The Fear of Childbirth

Lockiophobia is the extreme and irrational fear of childbirth. Childbirth is scary, plain and simple.  The thought of a child coming out of you gives you every reason in the world to become apprehensive about the whole situation.  I don’t know a woman yet who goes into childbirth with any fear or anxiety.  It’s natural and it’s expected.  When does this natural fear become a phobia?

Traumatic childbirth such as prolonged labor or having to do an emergency c-section because of complications can easily trigger Lockiophobia.  These women may have severe postpartum depression and either refuse to have another child or they may give up the one they have.

Most of us prefer to be clean and smell good, but can you imagine constantly obsessing over whether or not you have body odor. You may not even worry about smelling badly, but just being able to smell your own natural body odor may totally freak you out.

Verbophobia is the persistent and abnormal fear of words.Can you imagine being afraid of words?  Think about what it would feel like to break into a sweat over the morning paper or to feel the need to avoid all sources of words.  This phobia has to be significantly life-altering.  Words are everywhere.  Look around your house and see how many words you see.

It's normal to fear having to put your full dependence on someone else. Those who have chronic illness' often feel this way.  When this fear becomes over-exaggerated Soteriophobia sets in. They fear something that hasn't even happened yet for the sole reason that it could happen.

My 12 year old niece has this one.  She's had it since she was barely a toddler.  She tolerates it now a little better but, she'll tell you that Halloween is not her favorite holiday.
