Batophobia: The Fear of Heights


Batophobia is the abnormal and persistent fear of heights or being close to objects that are really high such as buildings and mountains.

Doraphobia is the abnormal and persistent fear of fur or skins of animals.  Those with this phobia fear any animal with fur such as dogs, cats, raccoons, rabbits and the list goes on and on.  This phobia may be caused by childhood stories in which animals are portrayed as bad like the big bad wolf in Little Red Riding Hood.
