Stasibasiphobia is the abnormal and persistent fear of standing or walking.  This phobia is also known as Stasiphobia and Ambulophobia.
A phobia is a strong, persistent fear of situations, objects, activities or persons.  The main symptom is an excessive and unreasonable desire to avoid the feared subject. Oikophobia: The Fear of Pain


Oikophobia is the abnormal and persistent fear of home surroundings or a house.  It is closely related to Nostophobia, the fear of returning home. Oikophobia is also known as Domatophoia and Eicophobia.

Odynophobia or Odynephobia is the abnormal and persistent fear of pain. This phobia is very common in those who suffer from chronic pain and it’s definitely one I can relate to.  Sean Mackey, MD, PhD said, “I can tell you as a pain doctor that fear is the no. 1 issue that I deal with in helping people to better manage their chronic pain.”  Odynophobia is also known as Algophobia.

Odontophobia is the abnormal and persistent fear of teeth and dental surgery.  It is most often caused by traumatic dental procedures in the past.  Approximately 10% of the population has this phobia and will avoid dental care at all costs.  Odontophobia is more common in women and is closely related to Dentophobia, the fear of dentists.

Ochlophobia is the abnormal and persistent fear of crowds or mobs.  This phobia is classified as a social phobia and a social anxiety disorder.  Those who suffer from Ochlophobia are afraid of getting trampled by a crowd, getting a deadly disease from someone in a crowd or of getting lost in a crowd of people.  This phobia is most common in shy people.  Ochlophobia is also known as Agoraphobia, Enochlophobia and Demophobia.
