Bromidrosiphobia is the abnormal and unusual fear of body smells. It is also known as Bromidrophobia.
Most of us prefer to be clean and smell good, but can you imagine constantly obsessing over whether or not you have body odor. You may not even worry about smelling badly, but just being able to smell your own natural body odor may totally freak you out.
A phobia is a strong, persistent fear of situations, objects, activities or persons. The main symptom is an excessive and unreasonable desire to avoid the feared subject. Other phobia symptoms include shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea, and an overall feeling of dread. Phobias are the most common form of anxiety disorders.
