Plutophobia: The Fear of Wealth

Plutophobia is the abnormal and persistent fear of wealth.  There are those who don’t have a lot of money who dream of great wealth, those who have a lot of money who realize the implications of such and those who will never have it or give it all away because they fear it.  Some with Plutophobia have had great wealth, but something traumatic happened to trigger the phobia and others have never had money, but for some reason still fear it.  Regardless money is viewed as something evil.
A phobia is a strong, persistent fear of situations, objects, activities or persons.  The main symptom is an excessive and unreasonable desire to avoid the feared subject. Other phobia symptoms include shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea, and an overall feeling of dread.  Phobias are the most common form of anxiety disorders.
Do you suffer from Plutophobia?  Please share your story.  How was it triggered and how does it affect your life?
