Nephophobia: The Fear of Clouds

Clouds aren't usually scary unless they predict a bad storm or if you have Nephophobia. Nephophobia is the abnormal and persistent fear clouds. Most who have Nephophobia also have Tonitrophobia, the fear of thunder and lightning.  When they see the cumulus clouds developing they know what lies ahead.
The Book of Clouds

Everyone is afraid of something and some are terrified of clouds.  It's amazing how something inside of us can cause such abnormal fears.  How do we become afraid of something that poses absolutely no threat to us?

A phobia is a strong, persistent fear of situations, objects, activities or persons.  The main symptom is an excessive and unreasonable desire to avoid the feared subject. Other phobia symptoms include shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea, and an overall feeling of dread.  Phobias are the most common form of anxiety disorders.

Do you have Nephophobia?  Please share your story.  What triggered it and how does it affect your life?
