Ochophobia: The Fear of Vehicles

Fearless: Imagine Your Life Without FearOchophobia is the abnormal and persistent fear of vehicles.  In the modern world that we live in today, this phobia can have a significant impact on even the most simple aspects of life.  Think about how many times we rely on transportation on any given day.  We need to go to the store, to work, to school, etc.  Imagine trying to complete these tasks without using a vehicle.

A phobia is a strong, persistent fear of situations, objects, activities or persons.  The main symptom is an excessive and unreasonable desire to avoid the feared subject. Other phobia symptoms include shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea, and an overall feeling of dread.  Phobias are the most common form of anxiety disorders.
