Asthenophobia is the abnormal and persistent fear of weakness or of fainting.  Those who suffer from this phobia may fear standing for long periods of time, exercising and playing games.  This phobia could be a result of a fainting spell.  After fainting once the person fears that it will happen again.

Other phobia symptoms include shortness of breath, irregular heartbeat, sweating, nausea, and an overall feeling of dread.  Phobias are the most common form of anxiety disorders.
